Support

Questions, found a bug, or have an idea for Mera? Email [email protected]. You'll get a personal reply.

When reporting a problem, it helps to include your iPhone model, the iOS version and what you were doing when it went wrong. Never send journal content you'd rather keep private; a description is enough.

Frequently asked questions

How do I bring my journal over from another app? Create a JSON export of your journal in that app, for example Day One. That gives you a zip file. In Mera, tap ⋯ → Import archive and choose that file. Entries, photos, videos, tags, location and weather all come along. You can pause a large import and resume it later. Entries that are already there are skipped, so importing again does no harm.

Want to try it first? Download our sample archive (invented content, under 1 MB) and import it.

How do I share my journal? Invite one person from Settings in Mera. You each need your own Apple ID with iCloud turned on. After that you can both read, write and edit everything. If you work on the same entry at the same time, no text gets lost.

Where is my journal stored? On your iPhone and in your own iCloud. We have no servers and no access to it. To keep your own copy, use Export: your entire journal, with all original photos and videos.

Does Mera cost anything? No. Mera is free, with no subscription and no in-app purchases.
